Hello,
I am Erika Laing and I am the 2024 Mitchell Fall Fair ambassador. What an amazing opportunity this is! I am so excited for all the adventures that are to come with this title.
The 170th Fall Fair will always be one that I will carry with me forever! I got to experience handing out ribbons at the 4-H shows, Horse shows and many more! A highlight was going to the derby Sunday night and getting to hand trophies out! I also got to ride in the parade in a vintage car alongside the Little Herons.
This year so far, I have made many memories and new friends. I have attended a few other ambassador competitions and got to see the hard work and dedication put in by all competitors. I attended the Brussels Fall Fair for their annual cake decorating competition with the other ambassadors, what a fun night that was! Recently, I attended the Annual District 8 Meeting alongside the other ambassadors in our district; Us ambassadors got to adventure off and play ice breakers to get to know each other a lot better.
I still have a whole year ahead of me and I am more than excited to experience everything. I get to attend the District 8 workshop and competition, Christmas Parade and Food and toy drives, CNE and of course my favourite the 171st Mitchell Fall Fair!
